Neil Patel said that it might be a good SEO action to delete the posts that have no or quite low-traffic blog posts. Anyone of you deleted posts with no or low traffic and it helped your blog? What do you think about this idea?
I don't think so, for me, it has nothing to do with traffic, only with the quality of the content of the post/article of your blog. If it has poor quality and none is looking at it, after some time, you should delete or improve it.
There is factor that you might get hit by Panda algorithm if you keep the low quality posts. But whom am I to judge go ahead do whatever you want. I mean its your blog after all.
Even if the blog is driving low traffic, but still it is driving traffic. I think instead of removing them, you should try publishing quality posts which drives more traffic besides getting traffic on your low-traffic blog post.
Would suggest not to delete your blog post with low traffic rather repost them one by one day so that they can get more traffic and increase visibility.
I will prefer to edit and update that old content rather than deleting it. Updating your old post is a good way to keep your blog fresh and relevant. It also improve your search engine rankings.
I don't think so it is a good idea to delete an old post that has no traffic. Yes, you can update the existing post with the new and fresh content, if you want but delete the posts that have no traffic or less traffic, really a terrible idea. Before doing this you should ask the question to yourself, why you do not get the traffic for those posts? Are you optimize for those post well? Are the keywords relevant to the post? Many factors are there and for me, it will never a good idea to delete the old posts with low traffic.
I personally believe it's a really terrible idea to delete every posts that doesn't bring as much traffic as you want. Assuming these posts are NOT auto-generated crap/duplicated content, they still add value to your website, improving your rankings a bit. So why would you want to delete them?
