In regards to what is best in terms of SEO and google, If you have 20 domains and you know that 3 are the main ones what to do with the rest... 1) they 10 are on the same shared hosting and the other 10 on another. Should i keep the pages and point them to the main domains and pay yearly fees? traffic is minimal... 2) Do a permanent redirect to the main domains and delete in about 5 months? 3) What would you do? I dont like having bunch of sites... i want to cut them down ideas... appreciated
Well lets see, i do tend to delete domains too. obviously you don't need the rest if only 3 are main, the question is if to sell them or delete them. If the domains are diffrent from each other, i would sell them or delete them or let them expire. if the domains are in the same niche, i would keep the good and short ones and the rest i will delete probably. 301 redirect is not a good thing if they are diffrent in the name. i.e 301 redirect is good when it's same name but diffrent tld. pointing from these domains to ur site wont be good unless they are developed and rank well for terms. I would cut that short and dispose them. i also tend to delete the .NET and just keep the .com, if i will need the .NET i will book it again so no harm. if you sell it.. then who knows when u can get it back.
It really depends on how you define "minimal traffic". Parking on top of the keepers and 301 redirecting is the way to go if you want to ride out the current term as long as they are in the same niche.
