I won't say the niche. Someone in my family had this problem a few days ago and they were looking for a solution to it, so I just thought of it today. On clickbank there is currently 5 products for it. They all are making sales. I wouldn't say they're rocking the world, but I don't plan to get rich on it. The highest gravity product is actually a sub niche (female niche). The actual niche is something that is for both male and females. There is one consistent thing I notice across all the products; there commissions suck. They're horrible. The best affiliate commission is about $15. I was thinking I could come in and make a more premium product that I could sell for more and in turn, more money for affiliates. I'm not talking about an expensive product either. 75% commission of $37 product is still $25. Do you think it's a niche worth pursuing?
Sounds like you should pursue it to me. The extra commission would draw away some of the affiliates from the other publishers.
I think if you manage to create a good product with a great sales page that converts well, you lure affiliate out of the competition due to the higher comission, so it's worth a shot I think
If your product is easy to promote trough bum marketing and in your niche top merchant is having gravity over 50 then you can surly go ahead. P.S.Logic behind gravity 50+ is, there are peoples who have knowledge in that niche and you can contact them directly offering free copy and better commission.
If you can make a superior product and offer affiliates a better deal then that's got to be good. I hope it can make nice steady sales for you.
If the market is stagnant then offering a more premium product mightn't be the way to go. Why don't you find the affiliates who are promoting the various products and see what they would need out of a new one. If it's a more class or a premium version then so be it but just because you're offering affiliates more comission - it doesn't mean they'll promote you.
If other 5 products are not charging much, that could be mean, that people in that niche are not willing to spend much money to solve their problem.
Thanks for the suggestions guys. Good idea. It's not that they're not charging a lot, it's that they don't give a good cut. I think the best cut is 50%. Some of them are only offering 40%.
