Should I continue submitting to same social bookmarking sites

    Hello,

This question may have been posted on this forum but I want to understand clearly about that.

I have been submitting to the same 30 social bookmarking sites. I am not sure if this is a good idea or not.

Every time, I create a new article and post to my blog, I submit it to these social bookmarking sites.

What do you think? Should I continue doing that.

    Thanks.

Depends. Are you noticing visitors from these bookmarking sites? Keep the ones you do get them from, weed out the rest or try to replace them with another site.

Depends on the situation, but if you are able/willing to do the bookmarking, it shouldn't hurt. Have a look at some automation software (there's even free tools, but they need to be set up) or talk to some guys at fiverr... I think I saw a guy doing 25 social bookmarks for $5 with tons of reviews.

    Cheers

I never receive any click from new social bookmarking sites. But I heard someone mentioned that It is good for indexing my new pages faster.

    Its not about YOU submitting.
Most of the social bookmarking sites will rate you depending ON THE NUMBER OF USERS WHO'VE BOOKMARKED your website.

So instead of just you alone submitting your posts, try to have your readers, followers digg, stumble,fb them for you. Which will gain more traffic.

If it isn't taking up too much time it certainly can't be hurting. I would figure out maybe which ones are actually sending you the traffic and cut the others. Just to a bit more time ffective with it.

If you are not seeing any leads from the bookmarking sites, all they are doing is creating a waste of time.
like friendlymentor said. It is not about you. You still need to have more then one Digg (etc). If you can get a small group of at least 10 users to bookmark these, digg them or however the bookmarking site works. Then you should start to see a pickup in clicks from the bookmarking sites. Nobody wants to even look at something that only has 1 Digg. Something with 10 Diggs...well that is maybe worth clicking. Think of how the user would connect to your site. Then follow the paths they would take.

Are you looking to just raise your traffic?

30 social bookmarks for every post is not a huge number, and it does not harm your website.. you should however try to get an automated tool for doing that or you will get bored pretty soon :D .. once again, it is ok, keep doing it

Yes, keep up the work! A good marketer always review and analyze the effectiveness after submitting the post. You may review the effectiveness of all the sites and if possible, look the new sites to post.
