I'm now running two sites and have plan to run some another sites ( not image hosting ). Everythiing still go well now. But my problem is cash.

I'm use BLA and AAW as ads. Everymonth i trust i can earn total $700-1000 total from both. This month i earn $400 ( $300 from BLA and $100 from AAW ).

As you know, BLA have 60-day-cycle and AAW have 30-day-cycle. The problem is i'm not live in US and European, i'm living in Asia. I mustl wait more than 20 day to receive checks from BLA & AAW. After that, i must go to bank and ask them to convert my check to cash , i will take more than a month ( nomardly is 45 days ).

Ok, now i calculate the time:

    BLA : 60 day + at least 20 day + 45 day = at least 125 days = 4 months to get my earning.
    AAW : 95 days = 3 months.

Of course, the following months ( 5th, 6th ) i will get my earning everymonth ( because my earning everymonth is more than $100 - minimum amout ).

I must pay about $100 per month for server. And i do my job as a full-time hard-work job. I'm poor boy. Get $100 per month to pay server is not easy.

Should i continue my job now ?

// I call it is my job because i spend all my time on internet and try to make money online.

they mean, is that enough money for you to live off of each month...food, bills, insurance, etc. does it cover all your living expenses?

I need $150 everymonth, for food, bills, insurance... Pay $100 per month for server is not easy, but it's not hard. My bank balance still have $280 and ready to pay for two or three months. $700 to $1000 is a big money to me and i'm happy because i can reach in a month. Wait a long time to get it frequently or quit now and find another method ?

    Hi,

The point is not how much you earn per month but how much money do you need to cover all your basic needs. In Asia could be 100 dollars, in Europe 2000 EUR... it all depends where are you living.

I have been reading different theories:

    - You should quit your job after you earn the same amount than your present job two months in a row.
    - You should quit your job if keeping it is damaging you in any way. (moral, phisical, etc).

But always you are confident if the new source would not be dissapear under normal circunstances in a short time and could be running for a while.

to be safe, i would recommend having atleast 3-6 months worth of living expenses in your savings account before quitting your regular job. this way you cover yourself should you have a slow or non profitable month.

@elyoyo : thank you for your advise and theories. I trust my earning will increase month-to-month. And yes, it can damage my heath a little but not much because work hardly full time.
@ploked : i'm still live with my parent. I only pay for food, bills...about $150 per month. All my saving balance will be used for paying server. I also do some small work to have income everymonth, but not much, about $100-150 per month.

Hmm, now i think i will contine my job, hope BLA and AAW won't get scam :D.

Keep your sites running for as long as you can, and don't give up until you really have to. Hopefully you'll get to the point where the checks will come in regularly - as loong as you can keep your bills paid till then.

If you give up now you'll never make it, so take the risk. You still live with your parents so it's not like you'll be homeless if you run out of money for a while.

I had a wife and kid to feed so I couldn't quit my day job until I was positive things were going to work out. I waited until my business had been through all the seasons, highs and lows, so I could see if things would stay consistent. Then again, I needed about $2,800 per month for expenses.

Sometimes you just have to take the leap. It will make you swim or sink. Once you're doing that full time, you'll be even more motivated to keep working hard because it's all on you how much you make. I'd say if you are making the money you need to live for 3-6 months consistently, then it's time to dive in full time and go for it. Sounds like you've got some skills. Keep working hard and coming up with new ways to make income and you'll do fine.

Speaking personally, I'm making $3000 a month profit from my online marketing ventures. However if I can get to $6000+ a month, i will definitely consider quitting my day job and doing online marketing/sales full time.
