Should I contact Google if I took the ads down and then put them back up?

    Hi,

I put up YPN ads for about 5 days. During those 5 days, I only had around 5-10 clicks ( misc sites ). I put up Adsense the other day, and now my clicks are well over 100. Should I email Google just to be safe?

    Cheers

If they look for a minute at my account, they will notice the drastic change; thus they may think it's some form of click fraud.

I'm not doing anything, why would you think I'm doing something? Like I said, I took down Google Adsense for a few days and put them back up. At first glance, it could look like click fraud. With all these horror stories about accounts being closed for false accusation, I figured it would be a smart move.

No one gets banned for "false accusations"

If you are not doing anything wrong then don't waste google's time emailing them.

I have read MANY stories of people who "didn't click their ads" and got the boot. So if they aren't lying, people do get banned for false accusations.

A few hundred dollars is more than enough to spend 2 minutes sending an email. It's a yes or no question.

What part of "don't waste google's time" didn't you understand? They have enough technology to know that you have taken their ads down and are putting them up again

I put Chitika ads up on my website and removed adsense, a week later I was banned for "click fraud". Funny how that works eh? :)

Emailing them was probobly a good idea, just make sure you only have adsense ads up on your website from now on if you want to make sure you keep your account...

No, they really don't. Some of the Google staff on the Adsense team are fucking morons.

Maxs, doesn't hurt to email them ... just be a little cautious as to how you do your testing. In the future, if at all possible, try to do your testing on a couple pages if you can and leave the rest intact.
    Good luck
