should i change theme or edit?

I have an e-commerce website but 2 years ago when i was making the website i used a magazin named ”GoodNews” and now that i know alittle more about e-commerce websites, i wanna change the theme but i’m afraid of changing theme and problems it might cause …. i have good traffic and i don’t wanna lose it by changing themes and …
I’m wondering is it better that i change the style of this theme and make it look like an e-commerce theme? can somebody please tell me what would they do if they were in my shoes?

It wouldn't affect your traffic much if you're replacing it with a responsive and attractive theme. A good choice of theme may increase your visitor as well as increase your website engagement. It could also increase your conversion as well if the selection is right.

 

Yes a bit change can create probs in your daily result but if you are thinking that the change brings perfection, more appealing and due to that chances would be getting more traffic then why to cry for a small differences, just go for it and yes take help of specialist so that they can reduce the future risk and make it working smoothly.

 

In the long run, improving your theme should rake in more hits for your website. It would be a good idea to get suggestions from your loyal visitors as well.

Changing theme or style would not affect the traffic much. However, the functionality of your e-commerce website may change depending on the new theme you use. Therefore, you have to make a choice only after understanding the new theme that you want to use. If you end up using a great theme with enhanced features, this will be a huge upgrade for your website, which can ultimately increase traffic. I love to upgrade the technology as per the latest trend.

 

Thank you guys fot your answers, i really don't know what to decide! I want to replace my theme with Nielseon theme but i'm afraid of chaning it, i know this is something that i gotta do it till see what happens!

 

First things first. Clone your site to your work machine, then copy the clone to a working directory.

Only then do you start making changes on your working copy. Test every change you make. When you have thoroughly tested and are satisfied, you can send it to your server. If problems arise, you still have the original site cloned on your work machine for reversion.
