Should I Change the picture of the Girl

Should I take away that picture of the girl holding the phone?
Is it stupid?

My developer put it there and he really likes it but I just dont think it works.

What do you guys think?

I'd go for something smaller (talking about the girl holding the phone)

 

keep it, it's interesting and works for me. and btw, it's a random image between a white lady and an asian baby girl if you noticed.

 

I like the picture but I think it distracts the viewer too much from what your site has to offer. I would try and keep the picture and just make the picture smaller.

I agree with the above comments that you must change the size of the picture.

 

Actually I think it works quite well, although I seem to be the only one that thinks so.

 

I think it does work good, just that If the image was 20px or so smaller all around then I think it would have a better effect. It seems like (to me at least) that when I see that image, it just basically dominates the page.

Actually, since it's relevant I think it works...
But how about this suggestion:

Find at least about 10 images of the same size, and style of a variety of people on the phone...
old guy, young kid, business man, etc... Then set them to be random, so each time you load the page you get a different person.

One other thing - Maybe there is something you could put underneath the sign-up form and the flags that would help fill in that white space... I think it would make the person's face seem less dominant.

 

Being relevant doesnt make it "work". I also think it works but only if he makes the image a little smaller. It distracts the user. Also with your idea. I think its a good idea. All he would have to do is generate a random number from 1-10 (or 0-9, I forget how the math random function works in php ) then whatever the number is, echo it.

keep the girl, for me it makes the whole website. If you change it, I'd find a pic of a sexy girl holding a phone.

 

I dont like the asian girl, the other one is fine

 

eric.r: I see your point, lol, I wasn't clear with my point:
I see too many websites put pics of pretty girls which have nothing to do with anything in their website....
so, since you could see that the girl was on the phone - it made having the pretty girl "relevant"
I wasn't really making an opinion about the size one way or the other...

I see that there are at least 2 pics that show up now, the little girl is cute

 

The picture is too big.

 

It looks much better now that there are two images . I think it looks good now. The little girl with a thumbs up is a little much though. I think it should just be the girl talking on it, not giving a thumbs up.

The girl can be remplaced with one jquery based slideshow.

btw. I dont like the adv. from header with iframe.
