I'm not into buying dropped or soon to expire unless it is still indexed and with backlinks. Other than that I don't think its useful.

The PR drops on the next update. If links stay and you get a site up straight away, should regain PR though.

You should try it out and see how you do. Dealing with expiring domains can be tricky if you try to keep the backlinks and dmoz listings going. That is, if you your lucky enough to get those to.

Try it. What do you have to lose?

If someone is stupid enough to let a pr6 drop yes buy it ASAP.

If the domains ae about to be dropped Google usually zeros the PR and IBL totals once the domains expire.

    1. If the only resaon you have for buying the domains are because of Pr, then Yes buy them. And follow the other comments.

    2. If you are trying to build up a website which gets a lot of visitors, then PR doesn't count.

    3. If you believe that buying high PR domains gets you higher rankings in SERP'S, then it's not true, don't waste your money.

Yes, that's the only advantage :)

I would suggest to only buy the domain if it has development value.. but its only $8 per domain now...

There are quite a few PR prediction tools available online, but they aren't to be completely relied on. Sometimes their prediction might be correct sometimes incorrect.

I think you should make a decision whether to buy those domains or not based on their backlinks. If the domain is up with some content pages and the links remain, you might be able to keep the PR.

You should try to wait for the long to have a natural linking for the Big "G" doesnt consider buying links but "sometimes" considers it a blackhat.. only your advantage is rising up one rank.. but IBLs and rank in SERP's are much important than PR..
