    I found a domain name

    It is one word.
It is the name ( not the brand like subaru, but the name like wrx) of a popular new car ( medium popularity )
    It has a .org extension.
it has has 5 letters no characters.
It has overture of 1500 for the word itself.

Should I purchase it? How much would it be worth.

Usually when I buy a domain name, I expect that the income generated by it should pay the price for purchase in a year.

If it is highly searched for, then it's possible that it could, you will also need to make sure that you put heaps of good content on it, because a name by itself is nothing.

If it's a trademarked name then it's not worth much at all as the company can take it off of you if you're using it without their permission.

As you mentioned, its 'the name of a popular new car', there could be problems in using their brand name in your site URL. And as MattUK mentioned, you could have problems. So you should think twice before you go ahead. Do a research, maybe confirm with them and then purchase it.

Depending on the price that you buy it for though, you could be able to earn enough to afford to lose it in 3-6 months. It's a risk, but it could pay off - depends on how much you can afford to risk

    Heres a tip:
If you are ever thinking about a domain and if you should register it or not, just do it. $7 is a small fee to pay and you have a whole year to sell it or do something with it. I have not registered some domains over the years that have really cashed in. Ops.

PS: Im not responsible for anything legal that could come from the name
    (dont sue me) ;-)

do we have to add disclaimers to our posts now? well here is mine.... i agree with drig. If it's about just registering it the I think you should go for it. But that is not my professional opinion. I would do it myself, but I am not teling you that you should, and backing it. The choice is yours.
