I like to have your opinion on a domain I am interested in. The domain is

    www. rentmovies.co.uk

The domain has been priced at £200 ($400) approximately.

    Should I buy this domain?

    that's a vague type of question ...

do you want to open a DVD shop online, do you want to resell that domain ... what is your main purpose of wanting this domain ?

    empservices is spot on.

Why do you want it? Just to resell? In which case how can you market it better so that you get a better price?

If it's for your business then does it accurately describe what you do?

If you are just going to slap up an MFA site then I'd say leave it for the next guy who can use it properly!

I think it's a good price anyway, because renting movies over the internet will be more and more usual in the future, and you'll be the owner of a very valuable domain then..

Yes, I like to develop a site concerned with renting movies in UK. But I think the price is a bit too much. What do you think?

You really need to sit down and work out your business plan... how much capital you have to invest in this business venture and what the potential gains are. If you are dithering over 200 quid I'm guessing you don't have a real plan for a real business!

I am planning to develop a site basically a guide for renting movies in the UK online. I don't have time to manage movie renting business. If I like, I can start my own renting business without any problem.

I don't want to pay too much for a domain if it is more than its value because I currently got about over 200 domains and some costs me more than $50 per year.

It takes way more than $200 to run a decent business in that market. That should be pocket change if you expect it to be successful in a highly demanding market.

But that's the point. The value is determined by the use you will put it to.

If I owned a boutique the domain wouldn't be worth £2
If I wanted to get in the business of renting movies it might be worth £20,000 for the SEO value and memorability.

"A guide for renting movies" - as in how to find the right online store, download and pay? The domain will be vital for the success of the site but really it's not going to be an exciting business to own and the revenue will be from advertising so you'll need good content to back up the good domain name. It seems a speculative proposition and I wouldn't pay much at all on that basis.

That just means the value of the domain TO YOU is very low. The seller may still get a good price and it may be a win:win for both parties.

i think you can have both. That is you can sell DVDs and downloadable movies along with that have articles relating a guide to buy movies in UK

This will also help in your seo for your domain!!

    Thats what i think!!

    Hello,
If you are going to make a website review, look around another domain cheaper :)

Without development, what do you think of the domain value itself? Is it too much? Which domain is better?

    rentmovie.co.uk
    or

    rentmovies.co.uk
    thanks

www. rentmovies.co.uk is the best, but if I where you I would go for both.

If your starting a movierenting business, $400 for the domain is nothing compared to the expences your going to get later. I would for go for it even for $4000. The right domain can do so much for you :)

The plural one is definately the best one. As to the value, not 100% sure as I see some .co.uk selling for high prices & others that look good sell for not that much. You could always make a low offer & start the negotiation process until the price you have in mind

    YES YOU SHOULD BUY RENTMOVIES.CO.UK!

Thank God! You're lucky no one "snaked " you on it.
You have a few really good years left with that domain, and watch the technology. There are all sorts of platforms for downloading movies coming out, one of them lets you download a movie, that only plays for , a short period, like 72 hours or so, so it may be marketable into the next phase of movie rentals online.
    Good luck with it:)
