    Hello to all forum members,

My name is beny dar and I have a question about promoting my website.

I'm new at the seo world and I'm trying all methods, one after other to promote my website.

The first one I'm trying in order to create real traffic is buying one way links to my website (which as much as I know will also increase my future pagerank).

I searched for a website that will allow me to automatic put links to my website at a reasonable price (because all the free ones are low quality) , and I found this website www.asalinks.com which seems to be ok for me - because as I readed it allow me to buy links on high pagerank pages immediatly, but I wanted to know if anyone used this website? and what you generally think about buying links from webpages ?

    Thank you all,
    Beny Dar.

I have not heard of this website before and I can't judge,

but from personal experience I don't value PageRank that high.
The only thing it can do for you site is just that: increase your page rank.

You can probably have the same influence on your SERPs by getting lower PR links which are cheaper.

I am currently trying out TNX and so far it seems to work great. (link in my signature)

If you are considering PageRank as worthy, then buying links won't help you. I've never heard of the site you mentioned, and by the looks of it, it looks same-old, same-old. Visit 'Text Link Ads', notice the PR for such a site with thousands of backlinks? That's because Google dropped its PR to 0 for selling links. Getting your site associated with sites selling links will indeed get your PageRank penalised. Try buying links from sites related to your market, that way you will be getting quality traffic, as PageRank doesn't necessarily mean you'll get thousands of visitors every hour. Whereas buying links on a well visited, highly respected site related to your market will indeed get you the visitors.

I am not familiar with the site you mentioned, but if you are considering buying text link ads then I would say do so with well known and well respected sites such as:

    http://www.google.com/adwords/
    http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com/
    https://adcenter.microsoft.com/
    http://www.linkworth.com/
    http://www.text-link-ads.com/
    http://www.textlinkbrokers.com/
    http://www.adbrite.com/
    http://www.linkadage.com/

    Just to note:
Link buying (paid links) is a method of advertising which Google advise you stay away from (unless of course -- you are buying from them). In any event, I would suggest rethinking your approach to link buying until you fundamentally understand the drawbacks and understand how to buy links in a way that won't hurt your site.

The best way to get links is one-way links. Link exchanges only decrease the power of your site. It is kinda difficult to get one way links but it is the best way to help your site.

DO NOT PAY FOR LINKS. Only pay for advertising.

If you need link generate them your self (meaning blogging, social bookmarking, writing articles for ezine articles, etc..) , if you want to buy something buy a program like bloggergenerator or theblogsoluion or rss2blog etc.. and then you can generate 1000s of your own backlinks.

The ONLY time i pay a site is for advertising, if that site can deliver highly qualified niche traffic to my site I would consider paying for advertising if the return was there.

    Beny,

You should do some more research before buying links. Instead of helping you, it could actually get your site penalized.

    Start with webdirectory submissions
    article submissions
Then if needed more start buying one way link (you can try here at BST section )

Search engines frown on buying links simply for the sake of increase in search engine ranking position (SERPs). If you are to buy a link, buy it for advertising, traffic, etc. Make sure the site you buy from has value on its own and has a reason for linking to you.

IMHO, not to buy links. Better create a directory with categories that are closely related to your site main theme. Then do links exchange. Also try articles writing, as EzBusinessNeeds.com said, it works great too.

I write around 1 - 4 new articles everyday and submit around 12 articles to articles directories every end of the week. It works great because readers who read my articles come back to my website for more because i do not submit all my articles. After submitting, track the referral from articles directories. You may be surprised at the amount of traffic they sent you.

I asked asalinks.com about this issue, and they emailed be that they currently removed their links from all of their's publishers websites so google will not connect them to these bought links and therefor nobody can know that these links bought by them because there is no sign to their name.

Is this correct or just some invention tey made?

It sounds like asalinks is one step of Google FOR NOW.... but, if google catches up to them, and figures out who is selling what to whom, there will be a lot of sites with pageranks that drop to 0.

#1 PR is not a consideration for me, and as I have found really any seo that has been at it for a while.
#2 Buying PR gets you PR. Is that what you want? OR do you want:
    - more traffic
    - more qualified traffic
    - traffic that converts / achieves your goal
#3 Do you want better search engine rankings? If so what terms and why? Have you done research or are these terms that are larger refers in your logs?
#4 What is your Back Link popularity like? How many? What terms? Do those convert your goal(s)?

IMO - Page Rank is a now in 2008 a black market commodity that really provides little value- only in the eyes of the seller and buyer. Page Rank used to mean that you would get a better ranking in Google but that is not true anymore. I have sites that were 8's and 7's that took a PR jit in November 07 but still have great rankings and traffic, and most importantly revenue.

Build Back Links that pass value or back links with No Follows on relevant sites in relevant content. Forget Sidebar and footer bar links and sponsored links UNLESS they are highly targeted and CPM. Places like LinkXL should help you along to build link popularity for relevant traffic or build links the old fashioned way.... blood , sweat and tears.

Remember, SEO is all about how to better optimize your site to achieve your goals. If that is #1 in Google, great. If that is 25 mortgage leads on a site a day - great. If that is high inbound traffic to sell site advertising- great. Ultimately it all boils down to making some sort of revenue.

    Beny,

If you buy any oneway links make sure the title tag of that page where your link is has the same keyword/phrase as the anchor text.
