Should I Block this Ad? Please advise.

    Hi,

    You must have seen Google own advertising ads ( I mean Google.com's own ad - adwords, adsense, and google places etc.) displaying on your website and probably in best adsense block that you have.

    I too have this problem. My website is in no way to related to these kinds of ads but still Google.com is displaying its own ads.

    I think this is also an Adsense SPAM!

    Can we block Google.com in adsense filter? Should I do this?

    They are still better than public service ads by google. I think if you block google.com's ad from your site then you will only get Public service ads because google doesn't have any other ads to show on your site. But then again I don't work for google its just my guess. You should try and let us know.

    It is way better than public service ads so I wouldn't suggest blocking those ad's from your site.

    Again ask said by the other members they are better than public service ads so I recommend not block these ads.

    If people click on them you make money. If you block them you'll get lower paying ads showing.

    i dnt know, why people are trying to block ads from different site..
    dear if you block such ads.. there are more chances that google may show public service ad on your website.. so i f some one click on them ..
    you may not earn even a single cent..
    so dnt try it at all.

    They are low paying and rarely get clicked.


    but something you need to keep in mind "EVERYONE"

    Google use previous search history to target ads, so the theme of your site doesn't allows determine which ads will show.

    Go and search for diet "or maybe click on a diet ad", then check out your website "chances are you will see an ad for diet"

    So the ads you might be seeing are targeted to YOU "ie webmaster tool, adwords, etc" if you were searching for info related to that.

    But from experience i block Google and Youtube, and other search engines. they pay low, and most of there ads are designed for impressions "i.e. they don't influence clicks, they are designed to brand the company or it's product "i.e.they doesn't call to action"
