Should I be worried?

Well I was happy...my PR went from 2 to 3...but this should not have an instant impact on traffic should it?

I just checked adsense for today...I have 29 clicks...but I usually only get between 0 and 6 per day on average. My adsense "page impressions" jumped up triple what they have been.

Does a PR increase have this much of an instant impact? Or has someone been click spamming me to get Adsense on my case or something?

Its the Free Stuff Blog in my sig btw...

    I'm confused

I also noticed my "Top Of Blogs" rank just jumped 10 spots today too...that doesnt seem normal either...I hope someone isn't trying to sabbotage my site !

If the page impression jumped up three times with the ctr remains the same, then 29 clicks should be normal since your previous clicks per day is maximum 6. 29 and 18 (6 x 3) should not be far from each other.

    Hmmmm ok...

I also just noticed on my "whos.amung.us" tracker, there are about 10 people on my site. I only ever see 2 or maybe 3 on at once...

This means the jump in PR has had an enormour effect! I can't understand but it has! It;s the only reason I can think of for this huge jump in traffic!??

It depends, it can. But usually the impact is felt much before the change in the toolbar PR (because the real PageRank - that's updated almost daily has already increased)...

Don't you have a site analytics solution installed on your website? You can easily check your traffic increase using them. You shouldn't rely on AdSense figures to know how much traffic your website is receiving. Try Google Analytics or SiteMeter.

I do use Analytics, but I dont think it shows live stats...It only shows up to yesterday...not today.

OMG!! I just checked Adsense again, I have had another 10 clicks since starting this thread!!

If this is real traffic, then I'm absolutely amazed!!! I've got more clicks in one day than I've had in the last week!

Nopes! PR and CTR, rankings, traffic are not related. The increase in traffic, CTR could be because of other things. Maybe some of your pages gained high ranking.
