Should I be worried that all my sales so far came from a single source?

Here is the situation...I've had 1,088 uniques and 9 sales so far for a weight loss product.

So overall, the ratio is 1:120 which is pretty good.

But then I looked into my numbers and a single source is responsible for all the sales. So essentially it's:

9:119, or 1:13 ratio for that one source(which is awesome).

and 0:969 for the rest of it(which is shitty)

the crappy traffic breaks down into:

-503 from one blog which has a slightly younger audience(enabled link in comment)
-311 from leaving nonenabled links in comments on a bunch of slightly relevant sites(i.e. eHow/articlebase)...this is the "direct traffic"
-137 from Google searches(which is just people searching for the name instead of copy pasting links)

    23 from Ezine Articles
and the rest are affiliates that sent 1-4 clicks so far each.

The way I see it, the potential problem with my top sources(except ezine) is that on most of them, they've just read a free solution and then they see my comment telling them to come see my paid solution

So should I be worried about the quality of my landing page or is that other traffic so shitty that I shouldn't expect any conversions from it yet?

It is always the case that 80%+ of your sales will come from 20% or less of your sources.

This is just normal. You now need to use this knowledge to get your links / sites in more of these sorts of places - the sorts of sources which do lead to sales. You now know what works and you can focus your efforts on this. Also you should be advising affiliates to concentrate on these areas, show them what works and what doesn't, and create more resources which they can just copy and paste and put into these quality sources quickly, even go to the point of making little guides which sho exactly what to do... but be careful not to give away an exact method of one of your affiliates :)

I agree, you need to look at what works and then stick with that and build on it..

You have some valuable information on your hands...I'm not sure what your source is that converts at 1:13, but you need to do everything you can to think of a way to boost traffic from that source. Take 50% of your time/effort away from the traffic sources that don't convert and instead focus on the source that is performing very well.

So what is the source of traffic that actually converted in sales?

    You can easily track it.

I'm not sure but you'd be amazed to find out that you sales were mostly generated by people coming through search engines.

Usually spam traffic (blog commenting, spamming links and so on won't convert that well)
