Should I be posting the same article in multiple locations?

I've started writing blog posts with links to my website recently and I'm wondering if I should be posting the same articles elsewhere, such as ezinearticles. Would it be better if I rewrote the articles first? Or would I be better just sticking to posting on my blog instead?

For SEO and to avoid the Google duplicate content penalty make sure each article is different by at least 30%, otherwise Google will penalise the sites and disallow the links, resulting in you wasting your time.

 

Great, thanks for the advice I didn't want to waste time submitting stuff if it wasn't going to do me any good.

 

What I do is I write one article that I submit to about 6 or 7 of the biggest article directories. Then I rewrite that article and submit it to Content Crooner. Then several months later I will revisit some of my old articles and write a new top quality article for my blog (your best work should always go on your blog).

 

I try to refresh each post like some one said above - about 30% including on my own site.
