Should I be making more?

I have a fourm that has over 5500 members. In Feb 2009 it had just under 5000 unique visitors, the forum has been in existence for about a year now. The fourm is about tech/web stuff and is mostly for the 13-25 age group.

How much would you say I should be making with adsense per month?

I am currently only making about $20/month and that just seems really low. I have often seen clicks worth only like $.04. I just added on adsense for search and while it does not get many clicks they seem to get much higher pay so far.

what do you think? Should I be getting more then I am from a site this size or am I just expecting too much from adsense?

Any suggestions would be great!

 

It is too less. Tyr to optimize your ads, your earning shall be at least double up

 

Adsense generally doesn't perform well on forums. Try to see what else you can do to monetize them:

• "Sponsored" users who pay for some privileges
• More ads shown to guest visitors
• Affiliate links to products they might like

Those are good ways to start, and there's plenty of other ways

 

Have you tried to place adsense like this DP?
I think better if you can try it.

 

For that amount of unique visitors to your site, the 20.00 or so a month is a bit low. 30 to 50 should be more of norm. Best thing I know is to imitate what the other forums are doing and the placements of the adsense ads.

wow yoou have good forum. Great but you are making less money. Try any other program instead of adsense.
