I have an idea of changing my landing page from just index.php to something with keywords, such as: get-insurance.php Is it a good idea? Or is it going to be penalized by Google? Yes this is true that most of website owner promote their home page as landing page but this is not manditory that you have to promote home page as landing page. Nope!! you never be penalized if you promote your some important page as your landing page. I have seen in the sponsor listing of Google many website owner promote their website's other page as a landing page in PPC campaign. I would like to share with you another idea, if you wont like to show your website's promotinal page to the Google then you can be block that promotinal page by robots.txt then this page only visible for the visitors. Yes, it will be great..but usually people used that process in PPC campaign I have seen many sites in sponsord listing but I cant give it to you now..i have to research then I can be given to you those sites. But if you would like display your promotional page as in Google's general search resutls then you have to block this page by robots.txt
