Should I always rewrite an article?

There is no harm to rewrite and publish them.
1. submitting to more article directories
2. Keep unique.
Both are best Practice.To achieve more traffic, submit it to more directories with rewritten content

 

Considering to "G" eye your article should be very unique and informative.
But while submission of article to article directories you may submit a single article to 5 directories and then spin it to submit in another 5.

 

It's always good to have as many unique articles as possible cause search engine loves not only content, but unique content.Content is king mah! No doubt it's time consuming but you got to do it for SEO lol.

 

It is better to rewrite the article otherwise SE will take it as duplicate content. If there is any problem in rewriting the article, there are many re-writing tools available on web that would help you for the same. Some content spinning tools like:

I think you should go for rewrite it try to make a quality work not quantity wise..............

 

It is much advisable to re-write your articles rather than keeping it which will become a spammy and be penalized. Qulaity wise and more traffic for your site if your article is unique.

 

Unique article is the best benefit but you can use soft to rewrite it as writing is a tough job if you do by hand.
