Should I always rewrite an article?

Is it wise to send exactly same article to 2-4 article directories or should it always be unique? What is the best practice on this?

 

I would go for the second one (unique articles). And try to submit to only reputable and big article directories only rather than submitting to 100s of them.

You can submit the same article to another 5/10 article directories. (It won't hurt you in anyway) That will be some extra traffic for you.

And re-write the same articles and redistribute them .. (It's always better to link your site from unique content)

unique is good but you can keep a ratio like the following

Do submit:
1 unique copy
2 rewritten copy
club these three and submit to next 3 directories

It is best to distribute unique content, otherwise you run the risk of duplicate content on other directories being ignored as such by Google. I have had nice results using article spinners in the past. These also take time but once the work is done they will generate lots of articles from one and usually distribute for you as well.

 

it depends. For the "smaller" directories i usually dont bother spinning.

 

I always write and rewrite my own content and only submit it to the sites at PR 7 or better.

 

I don't bother rewritting them anymore. I read a really good report on duplicate content myth....and a myth it is!

 

Best is only based on the marketers preference. but there is times were you can just submit the same content and rely mainly on that directories own traffic.

If you want backlinks from a bunch of article directories, say more 10, then I would rewrite or rather 'spin' my article.

Spun articles do stay indexed longer and avoid the supplemental index.

 

if u dont want any dublicate content penalty better spin it and as much as you can atleast more than 60-70% unique.

 

unique article would be better... google love unique and fresh article it would give your site a big boost in SERP.

 

Google is pretty good about time stamping submissions, but they usually only award a link for the first content posted. Duplicate content is all over the internet. At the very most, you could re-do the first paragraph, to "repurpose" the article for your various submission sites.

 

i am also doing this i have 1 article and submit on 20-50 article directory sites. But i think it is better to re-write to get more traffic.

 

If your goal is for traffic, then you can submit your article to different article directories but it would be better to submit unique articles as google loves fresh content.

Getting back link from the unique content is always desirable and from different and good websites.
I would suggest to submit one article in 5-7 sites and second article in 5-7 different high quality website. This way you will get back links from different high quality websites.
