Hi All, I am considering adding a video to my sales letter (the front page) when a visitor enters the webpage. The site is: http://www.ps3lightsfix.com/ I have a couple of questions though: - Where should I add it? - Is it worth it? - Would this increase conversions? - Should it be on auto-start or manual-start? - What type of video do you recommend? Thanks for all who answer, Dim.
yes video always worth it.... as one super affiliate once said to me "video is better then no video" put if after the brand images put a video of you that expalins what the products is about and how it can help you...
Yes I agree put the video above the fold...about manually or auto start i really have not jet tested it is a very valuable question...does anyone know?
Hi, - Where should I add it? just Below the Header with big text - Is it worth it? yes video always gives good conversions, but video quality should be good with a good concept - Would this increase conversions? yes , its simple,, ... which one do you like more..... News paper ads or TV ads ? , which ad convince you more to buy a product ? - Should it be on auto-start or manual-start? its completely vary on niche to niche , - What type of video do you recommend? you have to think about that , and take your own decision , normally a Product Overview , so that people will understand your product easily , how it is useful and why they need your Product/services etc.. the concept of TV ads is also applied here , just give a thought or talk to a video creation professional , they will help you out Good luck
I haven't tested on any of my own sites. But it's very, very difficult indeed to imagine any advantage of having a video that auto-starts (it's usually just something people copy from other people who don't know what they're doing, I think). The disadvantages, in terms of numbers of people who immediately close the site, are all too obvious to see.
There's no "yes" or "no" answer to your questions. There is only the correct answer - "split test". Add a video and let it run for a few weeks. Measure the conversion rate. If it is higher, keep the video. If it is lower, take the video off. Simple as that
Hi all, Thanks for the tips. Tiger, I'll do what you said and see if this increases conversion rates. Once again thanks! Dim.
Yup. you can never go wrong with video as a means to inspire confidence in potential customers (unless your videos have terrible production values, of course). People are sick of reading all the time, but they'll always watch a video. I bet a good video above the fold (NOT on auto-play) will increase your conversions. Just figure out a way for the video to show your lights fix trick does work, without revealing the actual trick.
videos definitely aid in conversions. that's why i insist on having videos whenever possible. but u can conduct split testing on the videos, such as autoplay or above the fold (thanks for that term smitten ) as well as a solid background or a static picture should you choose 'above the fold'
Hi friend -Put the Videos Below he header get the best Attention -Yes, absolutely worth your time and effort -yes, CR will increase...if you did it right -mostly better to be manual but asked them to play, for example put your one of your effort and the results you get in video and asked them| to view for approve of your work but if it is the Brief message which tells other how your system works..better to be auto start. -it's really depends on your niche but better to be review of your product.
Yes, in my opinion video works well I have it on my Xbox 360 Repair guide site, and as it is a repair site it is good for confidence building so they see a preview of what they are getting. As long as it is not a blatant ad, it should help but as others have said split test this. Good Luck! Chris
