Should I add a link unit in the footer of my site?

Hello... I'm fairly new to Adsense...

I have a leaderboard on top of my parenting advice site, which converts pretty well.

(The site is really new... the movie I refer to on the homepage will be uploaded shortly...)

I'm wondering if you experienced adsensers feel that adding a link unit in my footer would boost my income, lower it, (cuz lower paying ads would show up), or if you have no idea... and I simply need to test it!

    Thanks in advance,

    Ellen

I added the link ad at the bottom and make more now. Give it a try, % is lower but if you have lots of traffic it still make lots of clicks.

It's worth a try. Experimenting is always important. You could add it for a month and see how it affects your income, and just remove it if you feel it's not helping.

Since you say your site is new, it might be difficult to determine whether or not it's helping, as your traffic will (hopefully) be increasing as time goes on. You could always try adding it to the footer for a certain time period (a month or two perhaps), and then removing it afterwards to see if removing it is helpful or detrimental in regards to your income.

I didn't get the chance to look through your web site too extensively. Is most of the income for the site from Adsense, or do you also have products you sell or affiliate links?

I would add link unit to the top and put leaderboard to the footer.
