should google banned the word "free"?

We all know that "free" is used 99 % as a lie.
It does increase the CTR, ok , it's not good for ROI , but still , it takes a place in the adsense against real and honest advertizers, and does increase the price of bids because of it ...

My opinion, is for google to be a bit harder about the use of this word.

    Any opinion ?

I guess the word “Free” is open to interpretation. It certainly is overused in manipulative websites, but banning it all together is just not practical.

    I agreed...

And why should google banned the word "Free" , google itself provides many free services...

Sorry, but why would Google ban the word free? That is ridiculous, they would be losing people that would start searching on MSN or Yahoo instead as a large portion of their keywords contain the word free.

Perhaps the enthuses should be on tighter policing of fraudulent and deceitful websites rather than banning the words they use.

Even simpler, Google should ban the letter "R", then all thos so called "free" websites would be "fee" websites.

    Problem solved

plain and simple people dont' want to pay for crap on the net. they want it free. so they search for free software or free advice, the list goes on and on. If you can't beat'em join'em. Put something for free on your site and paste it on everything :)

Well i think when they review the site (if they do) they should check if there is anything free before allowing the word free this would make life better.

Should headquarters of TV channels banned such words as "discounts", "gratis", etc? This word is just a marketing tool. Of course it is annoying, but there are so many things that annoy twice more and you do nothing about it, do you?
