In a UK's reality show "Big Brother", an Indian actress is badly targeted by some co-members on the basis of racism. Do you really feel Channel 4 should take action against those participants.

Looks more to be a case of bullying. I have seen the clips on Youtube and that is what it appears to be. Partially ignorance but simple bullying - her being an indian just leads to a case of an easy racism conclusion.

I believe that the TV station showing the highlights have manipulated quite cleverly what the audience will get to see as well. It is interesting to note that the show was low rating compared to earlier BB shows in the UK and now this controversy has made the ratings go up bigtime not to mention the extra revenue collected from the votings with the extra audience watching. No such thing as bad publicity appears to be the case here.

If the TV station is to apologise, it would be not to curb the bullying and exploiting the masses by exploiting this issue. Point of note here would be that Shilpa herself has not complained about racism to BB.

Yes the celebs should apologies. But the question is where are we heading to. In my childhood in school i heard that racism is vanished from this earth, but why its still there in some culture. Who is responsible for this, the media or the government.

A mixture of TV reality and Tabloid manipulation don't justify all the hype

Poor actress... What she's experiencing is really bad. But I guess she should have been ready for anything before entering that show. :(

I would reserve judgement at this stage, until the participants have had the chance to speak. Having lived in the UK for a number a years, I know that there is a strong undercurrent of racism and this has improved. There had also been a number of previous black or coloured participants in the show without any problems.

Certainly, the program's ratings were sagging before this controversy. I can't help but to feel that there may be something behind it, perhaps some "instructions" from the producers. Afterall Shilpa has been paid a lot of money and she is an actress. Her career is bound to take off after this.

This is a mind boggling thing to say. Have you actually seen the show? She is not bullying herself - a couple of the other housemates are. If you have no where to get away from it all, anyone being bullied will cry - don't need to be an actor/actress.

Maybe I mistook the statement, what are you trying to say?

TV sets up the situation to create the problem and then innocently says look at the horror when it occurs.

They knew what they were doing and will incite racism to get ratings.

    Turn off the tv!

There wasn't any racism untill yesterdays show, the rest was just what happens when you get a gang. Jade is the leader, Danielle follows her and Jo just go's along with them.

The only point in which there has been a racist comment against Shilpa is when Danielle said something like, "why doesn't she go f**king home". Even still, it could be argued Danielle just mean't go home as in out of the BB house.
