As far as I'm concerned, it's not Merry Jane which is harmful. It's the smoke. If you smoke once a day it's ok for almost any lungs. If you use vaporiser-like device that avoids creating smoke, there's no harm at all.
So "all drugs" with no limitations? Euthanasia drugs sold over the counter? Recormen and other performance enhancers sold over the counter? Experimental drugs not yet approved by the FDA (and your local equivalent) sold over the counter? If you hesitate to answer yes then you don't want "all drugs" available and you now need to decide where to draw that line - and everytime you think you have it right someone will argue that it should be different. The law makers in every country in the world are doing their best to find the most equitable line. What do you do to drive any changes that you feel should be made? Most people I know just sit at home and whinge. And remember, what's written in the statutes often isn't the same as what is actually enforced. How many celebrities have admitted narcotic use but never been prosecuted? How many teens get busted at school/home with dope (illegal in my country) but never get reported to the Police.
@ksb2050 hah, - didn't know that thing on vaporizers, still it seems healthier than smoking a joint or even a bong, doesn't it?
Why do you want to legalize drugs? This isn't about freedom. It is about keeping the public healthy. Heroine and cocaine for example should be kept out of the streets. It has the power to damage and destroy families and communities. The only reason why you want all drugs to be legalized is: 1. You are addicted to it 2. You need to sell them to get rich 3. Both
Drugs should be legalized, but with some form of approval system with proper scientific and unbiased testing. Then quality control systems put in place for manufacturers. All drugs are harmful, but people should be free to choose. They should also be given the right information, rather than scaremongering from politicians or other users telling them all cannabis is good for you.
Not all drugs should be legalized. I would only agree to legalize it if it is a cure for a certain illness. Other than that we should not. Even though we implement strict rules in dispensing and consumption. People now a days are so smart that they can bend the law in any way.
