Shortest time from blog post to G index?

Anyone have any ideas what the shortest time between making a blog post and having it show up Google is?

I've been really surprised with how quickly some of my garbage has made it into G, and am wondering just how fast it happens for seriously high traffic/PR sites.

It is listed immediately on Google Blog search. Google search index depends on PR. A sitemap will help a lot.

Some of my sites get new pages indexed in less than 24 hours. Average however is 2 days.

False, very false satement. PR has nothing to do with search index. It does however effect how the sun moves. If PR drops to low our planet will explode.

I've read where PR helps get your site crawled more frequently. I read it on a webmaster's forum so it must be true :D

I believe Matt Cutts wrote about it on his blog. The higher the pr of your website, The more frequent the googlebot will visit your website.

Another way to get the spider to visit your site more is by placing new content on your site more often.

    PR blah

Interesting my lowly PR2 blog had a few pages listed within 12 hours. Usually it was running at 2 days to 3 weeks.

I got PR4 site that it's taken forever for google to love - I've put a lot of on site and off site SEO into this site.

Then I got my technology blog (PR0) which I put little seo or other work into and google seems to love it.

Higher PR sites get spidered more often because they have more incoming links or if they have a few links from sites wiht high PR....those sites get spidered more often and the spiders follow the links to your site..

    I hope that made sense.....
