    Hi,

I have posted some deals from cj.com.

I trimmed the url's using tr.im and also by tinyurl.com

In the tr.im statistics they show lots of clicks, but cj.com statistics show zero clicks and zero sales.

I called CJ people and they said that they cant guarantee that they can track URL's clicked in any other form than the one ones they provide.

It doesnt make sense to me. when we use tinyurl, it is ultimately forwarding the person to my affiliate link right...

Somehow it doesnt seem to work.

Could anyone provide me a solution. I need to use short URL's and I cant live with those 3 line url's. I cant use HTML in all the places that I advertise.

    Please Help.

    Thanks
    SA

Just shorten the URL with your own domain and use a meta re-direct.

How is shortening the url using tinyurl different from doing a redirect. It should basically mean the same right??

    please clarify

When you play with the code you risk working for free.

Any time you alter the code you would be wise to test it on a couple of browsers to make sure the cookies are being set.

If you remove the tracking URL CJ will not track impressions thus unless you have your own method of tracking you CJ results can get really skewed.
