    I have always had better conversions using my own domain name for the link like mysite.com/affiliate.php vs. any tinyurl.

    Create your own page and just redirect the link.

    You may use a script to make redirect on your own subdomain. I did something like you can see here:

    http://recommended.by.kreci.net

    I takes only a few minutes to setup with this script: MiniUrlZ. And you may make any unique & fancy subdomain to keep visitors attention.

    And it looks great as you may make tags like:

    http://recommended.by.kreci.net/hostgator

    It don't have to be short as in tinyurl but it looks awesome :)
