www.tinyurl.com - I'm not sure if this is used to mask affiliate links, but I know this is used to shorten URL's in general. This should work with any links you through at it as far as I know.

    You planning on spamming?

Then why would you want to hide the fact it is an affiliate link?

Besides, nearly everyone does not know how to recognize one, so....

Personally I like cli.gs because you can track the number of click-throughs.

You have to shorten your url for some sites such as Twitter. Otherwise the link won't fit in your tweet.

On another note, has anyone checked to make sure that they are getting credit for the affiliate sale when using sites such as tinyurl.com? I have my own jewelry store on Amazon, and I also have an affiliate link for my store. I have asked customers where they found me and some have said that they clicked on the tinyurl link and purchased that way. Since the sales are my own products, I know what the people bought. And none of the products are showing up in the affiliate section as sales. It says right on tinyurl.com that you can shorten your affiliate link. But I don't think it works very well. Has anyone been following to see if their affiliate link changed to shortened link is working properly?

If the affiliate link's too long, it can look really ugly and not fit into an email. Using a service like Tiny URL can give you a pretty link, with your choice of keyword.

I would definitely use tinurl. The only time i use it is when i am placing long affiliate links in email. Other than that i leave the links how they are.

    >> offto.net for redirect + masking

any other options for redirect + masking ?

i don't like their homepage talk so much about affiliate link, affiliate program and marketing, etc.

I prefer their home page just talk about shortening the URLs only

    Other Short URLs services

Show me some examples of affiliate links that are considered too long.

By the way, you do not need to show the code in a specific affiliate link anyway. You can put that code in two words.
