Short term SERP tricks ??

Hello everybody,

I have a soccer blog where i post about the upcoming matches, usually about the matches that are to be played on the next day.

So basically, When i post with the title "Watch Team A vs Team B live online Free", and for instance i get ranked number 8 for the Search term "Watch team A vs Team B", What could be the tricks that could possible bring me upto number 3 - 4

I doesnt matter if i remain on number 3 - 4 two days after posting, as the match is already over and no traffic is going to come even if my post is number 1 on google..

So what could be the tricks that would give me short term higher Search engine ranking on my post ??

I tried bookmarking, it kinda works but its too much of work..Any other trick.. ? Even if its harder and complicated then bookmarking..

 

Buy an old, established domain and publish your news there. That's a possible way to start ranking high right from the beginning.
Running a brand new domain I'm afraid you can't do much. A decent on-page optimization maybe... but sometimes (depends on niche & competition) it won't be enough.

Start a couple (or dozen) of satellite blogs on wordpress.com or blogger.com. Re-publish the news from your flagship blog there (do not forget to link to it). Do bookmarking for all these blogs (this is an important part as they might not get indexed before the match if you won't do this). Actually you do not need to submit your satellite blogs to all the bookmarking sites but just to a couple of them to get them indexed.

 

simple tried tips from egypt:
1-add the match date to your page title because i founded that many users search using the date for these date related events.
2- bookmark your article on digg and similar websites so they will rank high or even in the news section of google search page then send you the traffic (the arrow head technique i invented for date related events lol)

 

1. Does your home page link to this 'new match page'? Ensure that this new page gets a 'sitewide' - new / recent article type of link.
2. Submit your RSS to some RSS directories (and setup the same on forums as well) ;-)

Is your domin name related to your niche? Yes old domin can give you Good rank quickly You can also use trick for link wheel whihc is very Good for quick result
