Short link is taken

My client already paid a large sum to register a company and create a website with name he really likes. But when it came to create public page on Facebook we've faced a problem. Short link name is taken, so my client is destined to have ugly business card with long and complicated FB-page name on it.

The biggest problem is, the person who's taken it is unavailable and probably banned. And Facebook admins said there's nothing they can do. Do we have any other option except change short link name? Thanks.

No, once the name is taken there isnt anything you can do, the only way out im seeing to that is if you contact the owner and somehow convince him to give you the name.

Get creative like you would if you encountered any other type of cybersquatting. Doesn't have to be ugly or long.

Lets say the client was "fast motors"
you could try for "fmchicago", "fmonfb", "chataboutfm", "socialfm"

You can add the name of the city at the end or "Online", "Network" & "Page"
