We recently had a spike in traffic on shopzilla. In one day we had a spike of over 20x the norm (over $300 for one day!). We emailed shopzilla about this and they blew us off with an e-mail reply that said that click fraud was impossible through shopzilla (Ya Right!). The e-mail they sent is absolutely absurd stating things like a user would have to "erase every protocol on their computer, find and erase all of their cookies, reset the log on their IP address, scrub their hard drive and computer drivers" I understand the IP and cookies (Which can be easily changed) but scrubbing the hard drive and computer drivers??? I would love to know what technology they are using that requires you to do this to commit click fraud. We emailed them again and have yet to get a reply after about two weeks. Anyone else having any issues? We have spoken to our attorney and are considering building a case and would love to hear from anyone experiencing the same problems.
Shopzilla's affiliate program a scam? Yes! I had integrated Shopzilla's API to my site. Their earning per click averaged to 1 cent as shown on their admin panel. Somehow, as traffic to my site increased, my earning per click kept going down. My earnings accumulated to about $250 after spending $800 in marketing. They never sent me a check. Do not work with Shopzilla APIs, just do something else!
There is a free site builder (beta now) by Metafever based on the Shopzilla and Shopping.com affiliate program.. anyone tried it yet ? http://shoppingsitebuilder.com Code (markup):
