I don't really know anything about it either. Just go to shopster.com. That's about all I could tell you. lol
Yep, I used shopster before. Signed up for yearly subscription but not with them anymore. http://dropshippingtoday.com/shopster-the-900000-product-dropshipper/ This should give you a pretty good idea of what shopster is like. I know a few people who do pretty well with them, but they put a lot of work into it i'll tell you. They generate somewhere like 300-700USD a month profit, I would say. But from what I seen many people won't even make enough to cover the membership cost let alone the cost of advertisement and stuff like that.
Shopster was marketed heavily. Don't like it that they charge membership fee. Fundamentally, if you become an afilliate of a droppshipper, in a way you become their "customer" as you bring them sales/ orders so why should the customer pay any fees. Other sites where you become affiliates like cj.com, Adsense, amazon etc DO NOT charge fees. There are dropshipping sites that are free to join but a big % are scams so just have to do research/ due diligence
Your right in the sense that shopster market themselves heavily and very well too. In a sense it could be a bit misleading in the way that it makes it seems like it is easier to make money with it than it really is. In the past about a year ago I would say shopster you could never make money with them, but now they had dropped their prices a bit, added more items and have various new improvements its quite possible to make money with them. I however don't necessary agree with you about the membership fee thing. I know your not the only one that feels this way but membership fee is just their way of getting a steady and predictable way of getting income. Plus many dropshippers that charge dropshipping fee, offers a lot of stuff that free ones don't. For example lots of them give you a free site intergrated with shopping cart and all their products. This means free hosting. They will probably also have support and neat stuff like coupon creaters and so on. As for shopster's membership fee of $30 per month, its pretty reasonable. They give you lots of stuff and they have great support to say the least. They even have radio broadcast now weekly to give dropshipper's tips. But what they can improve on sadly is still pricing I think. Their pricing is still a tad bit too high for a lot of their product. Another problem is products going out of stock. There are lots of dropshippers that are free but again you usually don't get the stuff like website and stuff like that. Plus like you said there are lots of them that are scams or not as reliable.
