It would be cool if we are allow us our own custom descriptions and titles for products (only for our own stores). This will help in SEO and make each affiliate store distinct and will help eliminate google penalty for duplicate content.

Rahim10: You can have a store with no website, but you have to think about where you will get your traffic from...Supporting you Shopster store with PPC marketing would be the best way forward...This is in fact what our top publishers are doing right now.

crazyBoy: You can edit all the descriptions in your Shopster stores - this function has been available for a while...You can also create custom content pages to further add content to your store should you want to.

Have not put any effort into shopster because of the reasons I duscused earlier in this thread. I dont really have the time to load 100,000 books 50 at a time

loading inventory into your store is a time consuming process done 50 items as a time which could take months and months if I wanted to make a book store or something

 

has any progress been made to adding the uk currency yet?

 

I've got 2 stores. One is a subdomain, one has a domain name pointed to it.

While I find/found the adding of products cumbersome, I found that once I was able to master the search function things went smoother. Not counting the stumbling around time - it took me 3 days to set up each store with several thousand products each, including template tweakage. Working on and off as the mood struck me.

So far, I made a dime. I'm using search engine marketing and froogle only.
I love froogle, I've decided. It almost always takes me time to make money, so I'm not complaining about that. When I request a datafeed from shopster, they give it to me quickly.

Support and response to feedback is phenomenal. I've not had any huge support issues, one or two things and one was resolved, the other is being resolved, and they've kept me updated on that issue.

They've tried several times to contact me by phone, but I'm allergic to my phone and don't answer it, so I've not spoken to them directly. They sent me a feedback email, which I responded to, and they responded back.

All in all, while there's always room for improvement in anything, I think the whole program is excellent.

 

So is the whole checkout done automatically by the retailer? What about answering questions? In looking at a couple of the sample sites I know it said that live help was unavailable (only available 9-5), is that going to change soon to 24/7, as I always find it a little frustrating when live help isnt available?

Yes, you need time to see results.
But I will give shopster a chance of course...

 

One more vote to adding bulk organized categories. Once this is done, I will start investing real money promoting it

I'm one of the affiliates that they helped me preload with entire categories. That is excellent! What I meant was adding the bulk main categories, for example: all dvd's and not just television series.

But I can say, that this is one of the best partnerships I've ever seen. And I search this market since 1998.

Psyclones - This will get done i guarantee it, but right now this feature is not available. Shopster focuses on the US/Canada market right now. Once we 'go global' then we'll add more currencies.

Flawebworks - Thanks for the message. You will make money. All it takes is a decent amount of traffic to a store and you will make money. If you've got a site that needs monetizing, or you are well versed in PPC Shopster is the solution you're loooking for.
