Another quick update...In the next few days Shopster RShops will accept PayPal payments. This is potentially quite a big thing as there are lots of potential customers outside of the US/Canada who have money that needs to be spent in their PayPal accounts...I know because I'm one of them!

I think you missed the point Sunchy...

Customers can buy stuff through Shopster stores (RShops) using PayPal...This means if you have a Shopster store you'll be able to sell stuff to people who want to use up their PayPal $$$'s...

what would be the easiest way for me to have the store load every product you carry and put them in proper categories. And possibly mark everything up X%??

Edit: I have a great idea for a shop that I beleive can sell lots of items. I need it full of everything instead of a specfic category like just electronics. I want to add every single item and have them in proper locations instead of making categories one by one all day and loading inventory to that category 50 at a time. Id also like to mass markup everything by 5% or so. Do you have a solution to this?

    Thanks

A little update, first I would like to thank James, he has been very helpful in the set up of the store. I am happy with shopsters designer, I think he matched my site pretty well, you can judge by yourself by going to my site (link below) and clicking the ‘buy health products’ link in the menu.

Shopster generated a Froogle data feed for me which I have upload and I am just waiting for it to go live (Froogle take ages).

As far as sales, I have not had any yet but I am not expecting much as my site is sandboxed at the moment, it is not getting a lot of traffic so the shop will not either, once the Froogle becomes live then I am hoping that it will generate some traffic. I will let you know more a couple of months down the line when I am getting better traffic whether shopster is good for revenue.

Shopster actually has tons of products and I think whatever subject your site is about you will be able to find products from Shopster in its niche. In fact the only problem I have had is it took ages finding the products and adding them to the shop because there was so many.

I hope this info has been of help to you guys.

Hmm, yeah. I wanted that too. I gave up with it after playing for a while because I didn't want to sit adding entry after entry.

I look forwards to the days of bulk addition.

I noticed that h*tp://shop.i4u.com uses Shopster as well. But their selling price is even lower than our minimum selling price. So what's the deal?

Err...ok take for example this Motorola RAZR on shop.i4u.com:

    h*tp://shop.i4u.com/7849/68668.html

    It's available at $233.13.

But on my Shopster Warehouse, the minimum I can sell the exact same product at, is $242.46.

Why do i4u gets to sell it at a lower price?

    Hi guys,

We don't really want people to add every single product available to their Shopster stores...The whole idea is to build a store that fits the niche of your main website(s) i.e. monetize your niche further. Going up against the big boys like 'Amazon' 'Buy' etc is not going to work...

Thanks for the message NewBeing...Much appreciated...If i can help you further please give me a shout...

Shopster is improving day by day...The dev task list is slowly being eaten away at, and i encourage all of you who haven't take a look to sign up and see what it can do...

The issue with different prices in the Shopster warehouse and the I4U website is a result of 'price testing'...Beta testing as it were...It is not a conspiracy of any kind...The products in Shopster's product warehouse will all be reduced as a result of the testing on the i4U website...This will be done in the next few days.

Nice to hear that James! Because the current prices for some of the items I checked really isnt quite competitive, whereas I4U's prices seems just fine. :D

One suggestion: Add the option to upload our own images? Especially those without any pictures.

Anyways, I think there are certain situations where being able to bulk add would be very helpful. Obviously if everyone just adds every item to their shopster store then its not going to work out but there are some situation where it could. I have an idea that I want to expand on because I think it is good. I guess I will just add many many items by hand and go from there.

(Your in bangkok too huh? I just started noticing more people from DP in Bangers. Where you located?)

    Hi guys,

Thanks for the replies...Man you are both lightening fast..!

Kniveswood: This idea of adding your own images definitely has merit. I'll speak to the Dev. guys at Shopster and discuss adding this to our list of Dev. tasks. Thanks for that!

Joch21: Right now you can add products 50 at a time - do a select all in the product warehouse section - which is fairly quick...But i get what you are saying...Again, let me speak to the guys at Shopster about adding a 'select entire category' function...I'll get back to you on this as well...

AMWSO - www.AMWSO.com - is based in Bangkok. I've been here for 6 years now. I finished uni in Bristol and came here on holiday. I taught english for a while - mostly at the multinationals out here - and then met Chris Sanderson, the MD of AMWSO...I mentioned that i was doing some affiliate marketing in my spare time, and the rest is history.

FYI Just got an email from one of the guys at Shopster...Things are moving along well...Here's some of the shiny new features in Shopster:

    1) Edit templates in place now up. “Layouts – Simple – Edit” – very powerful

    2) Pre-Publish System – One of your original request Chris, now it’s up.

    3) “Get Search” rather than post search.

    4) Note: Search has been VASTLY improved, except that this is not live yet, should be soon. The new search is not only far more accurate, it speeds up the warehouse significantly as a whole.

I'm always interested in private label solutions, as these are the only ones I really invest money.
I'm giving it a try, and hope we can do business for many years.
I'm going to use a domain pointed to your dns. If I need help setting that up, I'm gonna contact you.
