Glad I could help. Prestashop is definitely easier to get your head around. Magento is a better option in terms of scalability and marketing. It does have a bit more of a learning curve though.

I keep hearing this about Magneto, although I've never tried it. I think it's a shame, I don't know why they'd go through the trouble of making such an amazing CMS and only making it usable by people who have a CS background.

What is a cs background? Magento is hands down the best enterprise level e-commerce system that is free and open source.

oscommerce is an utter trainwreck code wise, has virtually zero separation of logic bits from the design and totally blows to have to work with. To attempt to compare oscommerce to Magento is laughable at best.

Oscommerce is for noobs with no sense of branding, business models and wide range of other things.

    please.....

besides you might be a magento affiliate or stuff like that take a look at the trends
    http://www.google.com/trends?q=oscommerce,+magento&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all&sort=0

and don't tell me about OSC..i've been working with it ever since it's up..and i don't do PHP..so please..it's the easiest to use and manipulate, while magento requires a tone of server requirements...let's not talk about bugs as well..when you say something or stand for make sure you have arguments..not just affiliate ideas

...... like I said. Magento is new. I am not an affiliate, we develop our own apps. We are talking about separating the men from the mice here. It is virtually impossible to design something proper with oscommerce.

And why do major brands use magento like http://www.homedics.com/ or any of the zillion other folks listed on their blog? You can't find many if any high end design firm using oscommerce for a reason.

I have had this conversation here way too many times to compile an 8 page list for you on why magento is a vastly superior product.
