Shopping Cart Question?

    Hi all -
    Have a reasonable grasp of PHP but can someone just please give the basics of implementing a shopping cart?
    EG:

    1.
    2.

    Etc. I don't know much about this at all so the steps would be a good help - connecting to a bank acc etc. Anything really would be a help.

    Thanks wwwbryan - thats good reading - im kinda looking to see how to connect a readymade one to a bank account etc

    If you are using a e-commerce shopping cart like Zen-cart, OScommerce or some commercial product then you probably should go to their forum since the implementation of payment modules vary by product. Every good pre-made shopping cart has many payment modules that plug into your shopping cart and has gone through some testing, plus others have already ask your question and the question has been answered many times.

    Personally I would not roll my own shopping cart or payment module, there are just too many threats out on the web, to be the lone ranger.
