shop yesasia website review need

yesterday i started a site called as www.shopyesasia.com using aom software. this site is still under construction..

please review the site and let me know what more changes are required.

I will say what I think, if I offend I am sorry but I ALWAYS give constructive comments. (I base this on 10 years of web development experience)

It needs a lot more design to it, a lot of sites can get away with it, amazon etc as they are established but to stand out you need to look impressive if you are not established.

The text generally is perhaps a little too small for some elements (navigation on left and product names)

rather than using the default text style, use some CSS and make the hyperlinks a bit more attractive.

go for a big more attractive colour scheme than yellow and black, or at least make the yellow bolder if you are to use yellow.

I might be wrong but it looks like there are different font styles that have been used?

padding on the text at the top, you could do with some kind of logo, even if it is simple to pad the heading out

swap the search button for a search image

I presume that this is a js feed from amazon? if so you will need a lot more content on the website to get some kind of google indexing.

The initial structure is there, but it needs LOADS more styling

I think your site is good but you need to change your header and font color

 

The above comments have already mentioned, you need some colours to it also a proper header. I've also noticed that the category bar you have on top is displaced when I went to the site on my laptop (Firefox 3.5), so that might be something you could address. I notice that AOM draws in quite a lot of Amazon's content to your site, does it bring you any traffic? And how are you monetising if you don't mind sharing.

 

I thank all for the reviews.... please suggest a good header for the website... i am not getting traffic on the site so i haven't decided on how to monetise it more..
