I will never give up my guns. Second off, if every kid in that school had a gun, how long do you think that shooter would have lasted? You think if every kid had a gun the shooter would have been able to just stand there picking people off? No. Also, if they outlaw guns, you know who's going to be left that still has them? The government and criminals. Thanks, but no thanks. And as stated above, guns don't kill people, people kill people. Period. I don't hear people calling for the outlaw of vehicles because of all the deaths caused by them each year, this is absolutely no different.
Gonna have to agree with you here. I lived in America for 22 years, I have lived elsewhere for 7 years. The three other countries I have lived in don't allow guns. There is no paranoid threat about having the right to bear arms in theses countries. No on fears that the government might get unruly enough to merit an overthrow. These are developed nations. This gun "right" thinking is so archaic. Guns don't kill people is the lamest excuse. It's like saying cigarettes don't kill people, people that smoke cigarettes kill people that smoke cigarettes. See the circuitous argument here?
So, should nukes be allowed to crazy people? I wonder if it's what could happen in the world (on a different scale, obviously)...
Well then, we should outlaw cigarettes, booz, cars, prescriptions, knives, etc etc etc Get the point? Liberals, stay the F away from my gun. Thanks.
They should probably screen people that buy them better, though, I think that's something reasonably possible
Some headlines: Gunman opened fire in a dorm and classroom 32 killed investigating whether he shot himself 2nd shooting reported in engineering building campus on lockdown gunman was looking for girlfriend, lined up students and shot them winds stop choppers from being used to move injured recovered 2 handguns used Sad day.
Dude, I smoke. I'm guess I'm not smart enough to debate you on this, as Letterman said to O'reilly one night. But please let me know, are you keeping a gun for the reasons the founders made that rule, or what?
Letterman made a total ass of himself that night, I loved it. You could see the hate coming out of his pores.
Now yahoo says 30 killed and with the shooter that makes 31 dead. Sad story hope they tighten up security. - Prilep
Britain doesn't allow people to have guns except for shot guns. So then people turned to knives. Now people aren't allowed to have knives over a certain length out in public, and even OWNING a sword can get you arrested. So what's next? Outlawing rocks? Sticks? TVS? I mean you can beat someone to death over the head with a TV. My University had a rule stating that you could not have any weapons on campus. And if someone feels threatened by an object, it is a weapon. The next time I see a representative of the school rules comity that fathered that brain child I'm going to hold up one of my 5 lb textbooks and say. "This is a deadly weapon. I can beat your head in with it. Do you feel threatened? I guess it's now not allowed to carry text books on campus." You're not even really supposed to have pocket knives because some people might be made to feel insecure because you have a basic tool on you. BTW. I'm refferencing my swiss army knife, which is a multi-tool that I actually wind up using for tool purposes fairly often when I have it on me... scraping gum off of the desk I'm gonna sit at so I don't have to touch it... tightening a loose screw on a door. Removing a staple from some papers. Opening a stubborn pop can I can't get my short nails under the tab on... ect. See that pen/pencil? It's a shiv of course. Bam. In the eye. Now it's a weapon. And the police don't protect us from these gunmen getting started, just from gunmen
http://psacake.com/dial_911.asp You are on your own. So the government's denying you the right to defend yourself is itself criminal.
I don't get that...so he was allowed to make a leisurely stroll across campus (over 1/2 a mile away) and 2 hours later started up again???? WTF!!! http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070416/ap_on_re_us/virginia_tech_shooting
nothing...go back and read his post...he basically saying I was trying to be a racist by repeating what I heard on the news...
Armed attack dogs should be allowed to be carried around in public. Wouldn't that be safer than guns? So what if a few children get mauled a day - better than having guns right? ... And yes, smoking a cigarette means it is your fault for smoking it. Drinking booze and driving into a light pole isn't the fault of the alcohol - it is the fault on you for drinking the alcohol. Human Choices result in Human Actions, despite whatever tool we use in that action. You can take the hominids options and choices away, however you cannot take the hominid itself away from making choices. If a hominid wants to kill you - it will simply find another more creative way. Crowbars, computer monitors, bare handed... what, hands are illegal now? We have to amputate them? Well I can still stomp you to death - so make legs and feet illegal too! And teeth! God knows a hominid can bite you! The problem is people, and people alone. Not what people use, not what people abuse, the problem is the person and the person is to blame.
Thanks for that mate but in future try not to quote without putting a link to the quote in. With the amount of posts you have I thought that you would have known that by now.
