Recently I made a Photo and Video sharing website and over the past week I have been tweaking the layout, content, seo, etc...I recently made a facebook page to help promote it and have also shared links on Stumbleupon, Digg, etc.....Still though the Traffic to the site is super low! What else can be done to help drive people to a new website without spamming it all over the internet? Website link is below:
You've just to get your craziest photos out there. I found myself scrolling down the page and looking at quite a few. Facebook, twitter etc. I'm no expert with social media but this is obviously where people will like them. How about finding people with big facebook/twitter lists and asking if they'll share it with their fan base. There could even be fiverr gigs where people will share it with their big list. When they share the photo obviously put a link back to your site on the photo with "more crazy photos" or something...
Try first of all social networks. Fb-Twitter-IG-YT can make a huge difference on your traffic. You can also go with paid ads. Maybe some seo on easy keywords? Try to go viral with some marketing FB tricks! Good luck with it!
When you're dealing with a lot of pics - you need to compress everything, and use progressive JPG's... Your site isn't particularly fast loading - are you using any cache plugins? (Google 'Website Speed Test' and use one of them to help improve the website speed) Also, try taking a look at Cloudflare... it's free, and it'll speed up your site. You'll be surprised at how your traffic improves if your site is fast to load.
