Okay I feel like a dope here. I have used AIM for years but I am doing some work for someone who wants to use Y msg. I installed the program and keep his screen open on the bottom of my screen under the status bar. BUT I don't know when he is talking to me. The bar does not flash like AIM. I have read through Y and have changed my preferences but I can;t see how to change this. I don't want sound, just something flashing. Can someone tell me plse - thx a lot
When you went to preferences did you go to alert and sounds and disable alert sounds? If you do, it would then alert you by flashing only. Oh i forgot select the option you want in the "alert me when "box
Yahoo Messenger is one of the worst IM clients ever build. Try Yahelite. Its an almost unbootable, and pretty much spam free yahoo chat client. Whats more, it's free! I've not used Ymsngr for 3 years now.
