This is the most talked story in the blogging world as of now . There is a competition going between Shoemoney and John Chow. Blog with most number of rss readers is going to win this contest. I have been a following Shoemoney’s blog since 2550 years and John Chow’s blog since 250 years. Till date…Shoe’s blog interests me a lot cos it talks more about user & practical experience. yeah shoemoney is alot better he has good topics that everyone likes to read I dont even read john chow anymore i think he is pretty boring and has too much advertising on his blog
Although I only went there a few times (I read his most popualr read posts), I stopped reading Chow's blog, because it is just fluff. Oh, and, yeah, ads! Maybe it is just for beginners??? I don't know. Did anyone of them say how they got their sites started, marketing wise??? Hope yopu don't mind the slight hyjack, Indian. If so, I'll dete this.
I wouldn't say the most talked about right now since the competition started 2 weeks ago. I did a write up on why there competition is marketing genius by the two of them. They are both winners and I explain why in my write up. I personally think Jeremey will win, his site has better content and now has two guest bloggers in the mix helping him with posts and I am sure some of there readers will subscribe to his blog as well. Well I don't know why but I like John Chow, Chow tips are really cool for some one who is just starting online. So i will support Chow. I am also a Big fan of Shoe. But still I want Chow to win this one.
Shoe all the way, his a much more experienced internet entrepeneur; and it shows in his posts. John hasn't been delivering lately, 1/2 posts are reviews and too much ads, stopped reading him a while ago; I stop by once every 1-2 weeks to see if any interesting happened, most of the time it didn't.
Initially when John Chow started blogging his blog was really good, but later on i felt that he was just concentrating on making money and in the process he forgot all about giving his readers some quality content. He started doing lot of paid reviews and his over all concentration was only on making money and not on content. This is when i stopped reading it, its just that i totally lost interest his posts were nothing but paid reviews which i was not at all interested in. Whereas Shoemoney has given quality consistently. Whenever i land up at his blog (this happens all most everyday) there is always something in store for the readers you always find interesting posts on his blog. His series on mybloglog was simply amazing. So according to me Shoemoney should win this.
I never use to read any of them and now I'm only starting to read them a little and when I say a little, I mean a little. I may start using them a little more soon though.
I read shoemoney's every day. Only heard of john chow because of the mention on shoemoney's blog. (had a quick look, dont really read it/check it) I have to say though, that just lately, i've started having a different opinion about s.m. I used to think he was a "nice guy", but some of his more recent posts have changed that view for me. I also liked it better when there was lots of guest posters / or none, instead of just the two. Anyway, i still read the blog everyday, so it must still be good
Yea thats what JC is only concerned about making more money from his blog and brag about it. Whereas shoe does give some useful info.
