    Dear Auction Ads Publishers,

As of this morning we were notified by Commission Junction that there is a delay in reporting
all eBay affiliate conversions. They are aware of the problem and it is important to note that
conversions are still being recorded. All tracking is working with eBay, but Commission ...

I had the same message about 30 times in one mail

Bah, another Paypal program. Any chance that there will be other payment options available anytime soon?

I'm not real comfortable providing my Paypal email address and Paypal password. Is this really required to receive payment?

You dont need to provide your paypal password NEVER GIVE THAT OUT!!!!!.

Your paypal email is safe to give out as they are on a secure form so there not much chance if nay that someone will be able to see it.

When they asl for your password thats for registering so you create a new password for this affiliate account (anything you like)

    Hope that helped/

Thanks for the info! Maybe they should consider moving the password fields away from the Paypal Email address field. The way it looks in the Account Settings gives the impression it's required.

    GRRRR..

Shoe - why did i have to come here to confirm the 100% commission payout figure ?

    Observations:
For the love of ... PLEASE cite this prominently on the site.. I was exploring the merits of pushing signups, only to find a brief 'you'll understand the difference' to describe payouts. NOT a qualifier.

Glad to hear you're addressing the (perceived) PayPal Password issue. It scares ppl.

How about a forum, or something actually at the site that allows a community to evolve around the AuctionAds brand, I for one want to enter into dialog about possible improvements etc (blog commenting is really very one way).

And is there/will there be an option to spawn a new window rather than lose audiences to an Ebay search page (ie, keep the original instance in the background) ?

    Cheers,

    JL

You alluded to in your blog that payouts to publishers would be 100% of the commissions received from eBay for the first 6 months, i.e. AuctionAds doesnt take a cut.

    Is this true?

Shoe, the 100% commission should have read 100% revenue, as in this your previous post. Sorry - bit ambiguous.

Basically, I went to the AuctionaAds site with a view to making a business decision. Naturally, the first thing I sought was clear, concise details regarding revenue, payouts etc. But the only relevant info I found at the site was:
    ---
As soon as you receive your first payment from Auction Ads, you'll understand the difference!
    ---
    and
    ---
How do I earn money with Auction Ads?

When your site's visitors click on an Auction Ad listing and take an action on eBay you earn cash. Affiliates are paid the 1st of every month for the revenue generated the previous month. No waiting 15-30 days!
    ---

I hunted high and low to see what 'actions' actually amounted to, or some indication of percentages, how things were calculated etc, but found nothing.

It wasn't until I visited this thread (and a lot of prospective publishers wouldn't) that I found out it was 100% revenue.

Its a major drawcard Shoe, perhaps its worth featuring so potential publishers know straight away.. which kind of brings me to my next question.. if you're passing 100% revenue, where does the 2% for affiliates come from ?

As for spawning a new window via JS, I hadn't actually considered that it might be blocked. Good call. Perhaps thats something for Flash etc. Either way, an option would be great. That way I could make the decision myself :)

Its great that you're seeing the volume signups so soon - yet another feather in your cap - you must be getting around like a chicken on steroids keeping it so smooth. ;)

    Cheers,

    JL

Just signed up - will see how it goes.

Any retrictions on the link colour? Does it have to be visible? Leaving it up to webmasters, I can see it being open to abuse ...

    [edit]Just put them up - www.wolfmother.net - look good!
