I just read a two page article in "WebsiteServices" magazine on Jeremy Schoemaker (ShoeMoney) complete with photos of him in front of his Hummer and holding a big-ass (literally) $500,000 check from AzoogleAds.

    Nice article Jeremy...congrats!

Of course, he could of mentioned DP in his interview! LOL

this is actually kind of sad...

At first i was contacted to do a interview by azoogle for Revenue magazine... I did it and even did the pictures. Then reveune magazine had some big falling out with azoogleads and next thing i know i was slandered pretty hardcore on the revenue magazine blog... thats when i wrote this blog artile here

Azoogleads left me out to dry on that a bit....

I was asked to do a interview and I did it... i receieved no compensation. I did not know it was a advertisement. I gave advice and tips. thats it.

Then i saw this post on revenue magazines blog

Anyway I was like WTF I do some interview and now being draged through the mud? and I told azoogle to not pull that again then i heard i was in this magazing...

It's not so bad.. you got some publicity out of it..

Thing is, after reading your blog for a while now, the article doesn't really read like you.

Have they actually paraphrased you or filled and padded etc.

It was a good article all told.. I'd be happy with it :)

PS: One day, someones gonna take apicture of someone holding a wire instead of those corny cheques :p

    Cheers,

    JL

I applied for Azoogle, and then got an email asking me 1001 questions.

Is this the "norm" with them?

I didn't have time and didn't reply to the email.

I would be highly irritated as well if they used my interview/name for a paid article/ad without me knowing. Obviously they made money selling the interview that you did for free.

I'm sure you are getting a little PR from it but you have a right to know when and how your stuff is being used and to be compensated accordingly.

At least that really is your Hummer.

ya i mean at first i was really pissed mostly because i asked them directly not to do it.

Also my wife is really paranoid about the people that try to track me down.. like some people call our home number and write letters to our house and crap like that... it scares her a bit. Especially now that i have a daughter.

Its a double edge sword. I just wished the could have somehow published that i revieved zero compensation for that article or something. The advice I gave was because i thought I was being interviewed for a real article.. and although dated i think its pretty good advice. its what i would tell anyone
