Shoe Business and Authorized resellers

Discussion in 'General Business' started by KunkVentures, Nov 28, 2007.

Anyone know where I could find some good information about becoming an authorized reseller or dealer for companies like Nike and Adidas?

I am interested in starting a local Sneaker boutique that sells exclusive nikes and other popular brands, I can't seem to find a legit direct wholesaler.

Any help would be much appreciated.

That doesn't help too much but thanks for trying.

I need a legit nike reseller that has access to the exclusives not just the basic bulk ordered shoes.

Contact them directly. They may prefer to sell via distributors, but if possible, you should always buy via the manufacturer (better margin and access to special offers).

Alibaba is helpful for offbrand products.

Since it sounds like you'll have a physical location, you'll probably have a better chance of becoming a reseller. Internet Only can be tough for those types of products/brands.

Nike Affiliate program. Otherwise, go to their website and contact customer service. Tell them you'd like to become a reseller.

    Good point.

I guess my question is more, are the exclusives and limited edition nikes and other brands available through the normal direct distribution channel for resellers or is this more of a limited to a certain number with close ties.

You would want to call Nike with that question.

Typically, the specials, exclusives, and other limited deals are done directly with the manufacturers.

you are asking about getting a hyperstrike account or an SB account to get super-exclusive kicks that can be sold well over retail...not gonna happen unless you start with a basic nike account and have a certian amount of product and meet sales demands for the "general releases" Nike has "tiers" for the products they offer. sounds like you want a shortcut to undftd or alife exclusivity which does not come by calling someone. It is very difficult to get what your asking for.
