SHOCKING. Page 1 rank in 30 minutes!!! No Joke

30 hops no sales. I don't know what the conversion is for the average clickbank products, can anyone fill me in on that?

It also seems that the hops are increasing today so I guess traffic is increasing.

 

ok here might be a thing if you type in googel say "My Product is hot in 2008" and you put it in "" and the return is Your search - "My Product is hot in 2008" - did not match any documents. and you make a blog with that keyword or title then yes you will come up #1 all the time but if you remove the "" you will see you are not #1 anymore try it ...

Somebody already suggested that and I tried it. I posted the results earlier

1 of my subpages is on page one with quotes 26,000 results. On page 2 without quotes 250,000 results.

One of my blogs is using wordpress and their stat tool is pretty cool. it shows you exactly how they searched to find your sites. There were a few that used quotes and some that didn't.

 

Just a quick update. 70 hops so far. no sales yet. One of the sites is taking off pretty good it seems, 200 visits today alone.

 

Something else I notice is that keywords I did not originally compete for I am now getting results as far as page position. For the main KW of my niche 1 of my pages is on page 3 with 1,500,000 results, and that is searching without quotes.

That seems incouraging.

Hi that is not the bog I am talking about nor is it the product I am promoting. The product and blog I am promoting has nothing to do with ebusiness. It is just something I started last year cause I am fascinated by that stuff.

I am not doing any updates now because I am too busy with my other blogs.

As I said before I will not reveal what product I am promoting or a link to my blog as that will surely bring more competition to my site that I do not need at this time

All I can tell you is that I am using the free blog sites blogger and wordpress.com. Which of these is better the jury is still out for me. They both have advantages and disadvantages.

I still haven't found an adequate stats widget for my blogger page. It is the one seems to get the most hits.

Also I don't know If I should have had a few sales by now or am I expecting too much? What is the norm as far as clickbank goes?

I'm still holding on page 1 btw.

page rank takes 3 to 4 months to update.

 

Uhm yeah sorry about the confusion there. The blog is ranked #1 for a search term. That term has not much traffic but some of th other pages in that blog are ranking pretty good for other terms.

I have been adding an article a day to that blog and I also submitted an article to ezine that made it to page 1 today in google for another longtail keyword, and it has been picked up by two websites so far.
The article was accepted 2 days ago I got 32 views and 7 clicks.

And finally I found a traffic stat tool that I can use with blogger. It is google analytics and it is free. I installed it yesterday.

I think I now need to work on my landing pages. 180 hops and no sales yet...

I promote 3 products that are all closely related.

Any help toward converting clicks into sales would be appreciated

there is a rumor that G gives a preference to new sites...also..you say the KW only had 500-600 results, as well as it was long tail. POSSIBLE. Report back in a wekk or so. If you still have Pos 1 write an ebook and become a millionaire!!!

Again I will not give you the KW, the products or the websites for obvious reasons. I may a noob at this but I'm not crazy, or at least my shrink tells me so

I'm just anxious now to get that first sale.

The point is not what KW or what website. The whole purpose of this thread is to examine the METHOD used. If someone understands how to do something it is much more useful than if he was just given something. Like the cliche says " give a man a fish feed him for a day...."

And you are right. So far I have not spent a dime. Mind you I'm not against advertising with adwords, but I think it would be best for me to first get a handle on how much traffic I need for sales, what products and what landing page and a lot more before I start with adwords. I know that it is the tool of choice for most successful affiliates, but I rather take it slow first.

 

If it is still doing decent after a couple of weeks I would submit an
article to ezinearticles.com with that points back to your blog with
your keyword as the anchor text.

When you say your keyword do you mean my website name? Or the keyword I am targeting?

I believe you mean the latter but I want to make sure.

I'm already submitting articles to ezine which are linking to my blog but the link is not a keyword. It will be in my next articles though.

Am I doing something SO wrong? I'm just trying out a strategy that I learned.
