When you think you have seen it all! I don't now if this is new or not but it's definitely a first and one that certainly surprised me. I run forum posting jobs from time to time, many of you may have seen them. Here is where the scam comes into play. Someone finds the job offer and then post the offer on another website. They then in return report back to me that a job is done and get paid for that job. On the flip side, never in return pay the other person. So ultimately the other person is left having done all that work for free, my clients website is left looking bad and the thief is off with the cash. Go figure, it takes all kinds!
Well, I have confronted the people involved and once I get to the bottom of it, I will make sure to expose who they are including all related information, name, email, etc, etc. On the flip side, it's horrible as I try to be lazed on forum posting rules and yet scammers just make it harder and harder, this is only going to add to the headache.
Yep, it sucks. Especially when you're on the scammed end of things. Is there a way to announce who these scammers are so that people can stay away from them?
Well, one of my clients has a service that keeps track of scams like these - http://www.chargebackfile.com/ [ sorry for the plug, just seemed to work here ] Also, in 24 hours if the scammer doesn't pay the person who they scammed, I will release their username, name, ip's and email address here.
now that is very bad its really lame and sad, i mean if atleast he shared the revenue with the person who did all the hard work, i would call him a smart person, but that is a steal, he is a thief.
We have good moderators but this scam was on another forum not ours so it's not that easy to police all forums.
Assuming that you meant the other forum that pcuser mentioned under my first post, I'll whole heartedly agree with that. You need people who can really keep order in a place like that.
