Shitetalker.com - design review

Hey there, been a while since I last visited DP but recently started a personal blog and have been told that the dark colour scheme makes it unattractive. Personally, I like it but I thought that I might as well see what other people think:

Any feedback on the design (not the content) is much appreciated.

 

The design is simple. Nothing too catchy, but easy on the eye. If you're looking to add some revenue, I would use better placement in your ads.

BTW, I had to say the content was pretty damn funny!

 

Thanks for the review. I'm not blogging for money, but it would be nice to make a few $ on the side. I'm a bit wary about over-doing the advertising and driving readers away. It's an Irish blog and there's a bit of an 'anti-advertising' ethos over here amongst other bloggers.

Where would you suggest I place the ads anyway?

Dark background is fine for me too. By the way, it's easy to read the content
