We Shipped the product by USPS but as customer is not available, notice left .

We tried to contact customer through phone and through email.

    But, now product got returned.

Customer can ask for refund ?

Customer can ask for chargeback ?

Am I liable to give 100% money back ?

    So, what next ?

If you sell product, you should have a policy. You should wait for your customer's reply. You did your job. it's not your fault they are not home like they should. If they ask for refund, it should be product $ minus shipping, If they want you to resend it, they will have to pay for shipping.

He bought the item, you sent it. So you did your job as a seller, there's no problem if he doesn't want the item. You can give him the refund without shipping. Even he file a charge back, just explain paypal what happened with the proof of delivery. Just tell paypal, buyer bought the item, and you sent the item with this tracking number. Buyer wasn't home to receive the package, it was sent to his local post office for pick up. Buyer didn't pick up the item so it was sent back. Then buyer didn't want the item AFTER it was sent to him. You gave buyer money back minus shipping.

Then you would just refund the entire amount.

yea if you offer free shipping... there's no shipping fee on buyer's side. You will just have to refund the full amount. well at least you got your $230 product back and resell it to another person.

I think your side is safe because you will have the receipt with the delivery remarks on it.

You may wish to update your shipping policy that if the product has been returned undelivered, the customer can not claim for any refund but instead request the product to be re-shipped (may be you wish to charge extra shipping amount).

    Hope that helps you friend.

Customer can ask for refund ?
Yes,they can coz they did not received the product.

Customer can ask for chargeback ?
    Yes if they want.

Am I liable to give 100% money back ?
I suggest you negotiate with the buyer first before giving the refund. You must give the refund in this case to maintain your reputation.

    So, what next ?
Call the buyer up and then tell them the situation and say that you will resend the item and the postage fee is bear by you the seller.
