Shipment in USA to USA. : URGENT Info reqd

I am in a small confusion.

I am from India.

Now, I want to do some shipment frrm USA to USA. and Not from India.

Now , one person gave me a tracking number and said that "see, we do it from usa to usa" .

When I tried the same in "www.usps" , it shows.

When I tried in www.ups.com , it doesnt show.

Now I am confused.

Kindly help..

 

Tracking numbers are generated when an online service prints the label and do not enter the database until it hits the first post office where it is scanned as received. The online database is usually updated overnight during the week. Not really sure about weekends.

Once you know it has been shipped there usually are no more updates until it is delivered. The package is not tracked at every hop like FedEX does it.

Priority mail in the 48 mainland states takes 2-3 days exclusive of Sunday.

I guess I failed to read your question correctly.

usps.com is the US postal service. ups.com is a different package delivery company like fedex.

Prioriyt mail that I mentioned is a service from the US postal service.
